Volunteer at Old Swedes
Do you enjoy history or believe in preserving the past? Then you need to be part of our volunteer corps. Share your love of history and tell the story of the New Sweden Colony and the founding of a nation. Wonderful volunteers contribute their time and talents to help make Old Swedes Historic Site successful. There are opportunities in all areas of the museum operations, from enhancing the visitor experience, to carrying out projects behind the scenes.
Provide tours of Old Swedes Church, Hendrickson House and the Burial Grounds to the general public, groups, and schools.

Internships are usually unpaid and are available in a variety of areas: collections, education, and exhibition. Interns are supervised by paid staff and will interact with volunteers, consultants, and the public. Staff is willing to work with students to design a project for university credit. Preferred applicants are those in a M.A. or B.A. program in Museum Studies, History, Art History or Education, with an interest in working in a historic site or a museum.
